Quantum Industries GmbH is seeking a driven and technically skilled Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the critical technical interface between Quantum Industries and our customers, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the successful deployment of our eQKD systems. Working closely with our Sales Team, you will help bridge the gap between our cutting-edge quantum technologies and the unique needs of our clients, driving both customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise Development: As the Field Application Engineer, become the lead expert in quantum key distribution (QKD) by deeply understanding and addressing customer needs. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop tailored solutions while actively promoting Quantum Industries’ technology portfolio.
- Customer Insight: Understand customer strategies, technology roadmaps, and industry trends to help customers overcome network security challenges.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in customer organizations, enhancing cooperation and trust.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Team and technical teams to align customer requirements with product development and delivery.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue sales opportunities that expand the project pipeline, aligning with Quantum Industries’ roadmap.
- Project Execution: Convert engineering and sales pipelines into successful engagements, coordinating efforts across teams.
- Proposal Generation: Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, collaborating with management, sales, and technical experts.
- Product Delivery: Ensure timely product delivery and support design and verification activities, coordinating with sales and technical teams.
- Customer Support: Provide expert customer support and technical advice, ensuring satisfaction through close team collaboration.
We Seek:
- Educational Background: A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A solid understanding of quantum physics, photonics, or cryptography is highly desirable.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably within the fields of quantum technology, telecommunications, network security, or a related industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with complex technical systems, with a strong emphasis on quantum key distribution (QKD) technologies. Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance is essential.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interfacing with both technical teams and customers. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive problem solver who is able to diagnose and resolve technical issues, working closely with both customers and internal teams.
- Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams, particularly with Sales and Engineering, to drive customer success and project completion.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills, particularly German, are advantageous.
- Citizenship: EU27 citizenship is required for this position.
