Senior Sales Manager– Quantum Key Distribution

Quantum Industries GmbH is expanding its thriving Sales Team and seeks a seasoned Senior Sales Manager with a strong background in physics. This unique position bridges advanced quantum physics with state-of-the-art network and telecom security, facilitating the promotion and sales of our cutting-edge eQKD systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in expanding our market presence through strategic outreach and business development.

1. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential clients at international conferences, exhibitions, and direct engagements to generate leads and initiate sales conversations.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to refine and implement sales strategies that highlight the technological advantages of our eQKD systems.
  • Educational Outreach: Utilize your expertise in physics to educate potential clients about the superiority of polarization-entanglement-based Quantum Key Distribution.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and they remain informed about new product developments and enhancements. Maintaining customer activities in QI’s CRM system.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Definition and creation of sales materials.
  • Great team spirit: Correct transfer of orders to production in cooperation with the Field Application Engineers. Direct reporting to the Management.

2. We Seek

  • Educational Background: Degree in Physics (or similar), with a robust understanding of Quantum Physics, or a closely related fields such as photonics.
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the field of photonic technology, telecom or network security, or cryptography.
  • Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively discussing complex technical topics with both quantum physicists and telecom security professionals. Strong presentations skills.
  • Characteristics: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to sales, adaptable to new technologies, and skilled in long-term client relationship management.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills, particularly German, are advantageous.
  • Citizenship: EU27 citicenship is mandatory for this position.
